TxPAN conducts outreach projects and hosts a variety of events throughout the year to collaborate with Texas's professional and avocational archaeological community as well as our State's educators. TxBOX - Museum in a Box
TxBOX - Museum in a Box is an outreach tool kit for K-12 educators to provide student enrichment on Texas archaeology history and past. The materials was developed to help meet 3rd-8th grade level TEKS students, but are adaptable for any age group. TxBOX is a full mini-museum complete with interactive visual displays and artifacts, it includes lesson plans and articulated web content for deeper-dive exploration. A comprehensive list is available for additional teacher resources associated with teaching Texas Past and Texas Archaeology.
History and Development of the Witte Museum
TxPAN presents two important topics related to the The Witte Museum's fascinating History: its connection with the Spanish Colonial period and its development during the New Deal Era.
This project is a collaborative effort between the Witte Museum, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the Texas Historical Commission and TxPAN to create a web-based exhibit of the History and Development of the Witte Museum.

Portraits of Preservation is a photograph exhibit showcasing Texas’s diverse Prehistoric and Historic archaeological sites, cultural landscapes, Tribal Historic Preservation Office work, and artistic artifact photographs taken by archaeologists and preservationists from all over our great state.
